Aquaculture is one of the important food resource sectors worldwide. It is a highly diverse and complex activity involving food production, fisheries enhancement and fisheries stock restoration. Thus, it touches a wide array of scientific disciplines. The purpose of the Centre is to facilitate research and development and education and training etc.

We believe that “human knowledge belongs to the world, and collaboration is better than competition”. FAITT has realized this philosophy and understood its meaning; hence, FAITT was established by a group of eminent people in the aquaculture field with both academic and industrial expertise.

FAITT has many national and international tie-ups, especially with Malaysia, South Korea, Israel, China, Germany, and the USA. The management, staff, and technicians at FAITT are highly qualified, experienced, and deeply understand farmers’ problems and day-to-day issues in the aquaculture industry.
